Snowman!

It has been a quite week here on Log Cabin Lane. One of the things that we do every week is go to our local library for "Story Time" and Miss Jo is great! She comes up with great crafts for the kids to do. Well this week we did an AWESOME craft!! It was a snowman!

She took one large men's sock and filled it up with horse feed, and about the middle of the sock we wrapped a rubber band around it to make the 2 "snowballs". Then we rubber banded that top so nothing would fall out. We folded down the "cuff" of the sock to make the hat. Miss Jo cut our scarfs out of felt and then 2 googlies eyes and of course the "Megan touch" the purple nose. We will be making one with Josh, but first we need to find some filling for our snowman. I was thinking maybe beans or corn for the filling.

Love this craft idea! I need something simple for a Christmas party at our church for elementary-aged kids. Do you think rice would work as a filler, too?
Thanks for sharing!
